Description:
The chef and owner of Ika Ramen had an idea to create a traditional Japanese ramen menu, but to execute it in a clean and modern way.

We used Bamboo material to subtly speak to traditional Japanese aesthetics, and we cut, sanded, finished and assembled the pieces in a way that brought a more modern vibe to the display.

We worked with a Japanese calligrapher to write the menu contents directly onto a Wacom monitor, so the menu items could be created in a clean and sharp vector format, which we laser engraved onto the bamboo ‘flags.’

They liked it so much we ended up making a 2nd display for their Ika San location in downtown Omaha.
